Preparation of the cannabis butter
In order to prepare the ingredients for the cannabis butter, it is important that the cannabis is ground up well. This ensures that it can later be better melted in the butter. The best way to finely grind cannabis is with the help of a Grinders. Within a short time you can grind the necessary amount of cannabis into fine crumbs. You then put the cannabis in a saucepan. The size of the cooking pot should be chosen so that you can still stir the contents easily. Then you add pieces of butter and water in a ratio of 1:4. You have to follow the quantities exactly.
Then you put the pot on a stove and start to heat it up. But be careful here: You must never bring the mixture to a boil and should keep the temperature below 90 degrees Celsius. It is advisable to work with a thermometer here. We recommend setting the stove so that the mixture levels off at a temperature between 80-85 degrees.
You should now let this mixture steep for two hours so that the ingredients all mix together and the THC is released from the cannabis flowers. After heating, pour everything from the saucepan through a sieve into a plastic container. It's best to place a fresh towel over the strainer to filter out any remaining cannabis flowers, leaving only the butter with the water. Let everything cool down and after a few minutes put the jar in the fridge. After a few hours, the butter will be firm again and you can continue to use it.
Properly prepared and packaged, the cannabis butter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a month. You can also freeze them in even portions and thaw them as needed.
In addition to cannabis flowers, you can also make cannabis butter with hash. Here you only have to heat the butter with the hash until everything has melted and you can continue using the mixture after a few minutes.
You can use the remaining water after the butter has hardened again, for example for pasta dough or similar.
